ON-GOING SCENE-STUDY CLASS:

  • The goal of our classes is to give the actor the ability to apply acting technique in real-world professional situations. Class begins with warm-up exercises followed by intensive scene-work. Although the focus in this class is scene-study, students also perform monologues and may practice cold reading skills

  • On-going Scene-Study class is held Tuesday nights from 7-10:15 pm at Open Stage West
    14336 Ventura Blvd. Sherman Oaks, CA 91423
    Located on the south east corner of Ventura and Beverly Glen in the Oak Ridge Plaza.
    Theatre is located on the first floor behind the elevator. Free underground parking.

    AUDITION SKILLS WORKSHOP:

    We offer focused workshops on auditioning technique. The dates for the next four-week Audition Skills Workshop will be announced soon.

    *INDUSTRY SEMINARS:

  • We offer Industry Seminars two to three times a year. Industry Seminars are always free to enrolled students. Past seminar guests include director John Putch, Lee Aronsohn and Chuck Lorre exec producers of Two and Half Men, Peter Noah, exec producer of The West Wing, Alan Mills of the talent management firm Marshak/Zachary and talent manager Joan Sittenfield.

    **AUDITING INFORMATION:

  • You must audit one Tuesday class before joining the On-going Scene-study class . If you would like to audit, please contact us. A phone interview is required before your audit is scheduled.

  • We charge an auditing fee of $20. The $20 fee is non-refundable but may be applied to classes or private coaching. (Auditing fee must be used within 60 days.) A portion of all auditing fees are donated to weSPARK Cancer Support Center.

    PRIVATE COACHING:

    In-person, web, and phone coaching is available. Prices below.

    PRICES:

  • Fee for the on-going Scene Study is $210/month based on four classes a month. When there are five Tuesdays in a month we will take one Tuesday off.

  • Class fees are non-refundable. There are no make-ups for missed classes.

  • Private coaching:
    In person:$100-125/hour.
    Web or Phone: $85/hour.
    There is a $25 discount If currently enrolled in classes. (There is a 24 hour cancellation policy on private coaching appointments.)
